Channel 5 has commissioned Jewels of the Mediterranean, a 15x60 series from Purple Productions to uncover the true Jewels of the Med.

Narrated by Joanna Lumley, Jewels of the Mediterranean showcases some of the most spectacular islands and coastlines the area has to offer. From Sardinia, to Majorca, Hvar, Corsica and Gibraltar, throughout the series we meet locals and tourists, sample mouthwatering local cuisine and explore ancient traditions.
